What this site collects on its own

Nothing you type, because there is nothing to type into. There is no form, no login, no newsletter sign-up and no tracking script anywhere on the site.

The web server that delivers these pages keeps standard access logs, as every web server does. A log line records your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, the response status, and the browser string your device sends. Under EU law an IP address can identify a person, so we treat these logs as personal data even though we never look up who an address belongs to.

We keep those logs to run the site and to see attacks against it. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating and defending our own server, under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. Logs are rotated and deleted within 30 days, and are never used to build a profile of a visitor or combined with anything else.

The server is in Frankfurt, Germany. Your data stays in the European Union.

The trailer, and the only third party on this site

On the Productions page there is a trailer forHouse of Streams. It does not load until you press play. Until you do, the page holds a standby card drawn from our own files, and Google receives nothing — not your IP address, not a cookie, not the fact that you visited.

If you press play, a YouTube player loads from Google and at that moment Google receives your IP address and may set cookies on your device under its own terms. That is your decision, taken after being told, and it is the consent basis in Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR together with the Maltese rules implementing Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive. The player is the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com variant, which reduces but does not remove what Google collects. Google’s handling of it is governed byGoogle’s privacy policy, not ours.

If you would rather not involve Google at all, simply do not press play. Nothing else on the site depends on it.

Fonts and images are served from here

The typefaces this site uses are stored on our own server, not called from a font CDN. That is deliberate: a hosted font request would send your IP address to a third party on every page view, before you had chosen anything. Every image, style sheet and script the site loads comes from streamhouse.media.

If you email us

Every contact link on this site opens your own email program addressed to info@streamhouse.media. Nothing is submitted through the website, and we receive only what you choose to send.

We use that message to answer you and, where it concerns a booking or a production, to take steps at your request before entering a contract — Article 6(1)(b), with Article 6(1)(f) covering ordinary business correspondence. Our mail is hosted on Microsoft 365 in the European Union. We keep correspondence for as long as the enquiry is live and then for six years, which is the period Maltese commercial and tax records are ordinarily retained for.

Who else sees your data

No one we pay to profile you, because we do not do that. The only processors involved are the hosting provider that runs our server and Microsoft as our mail provider. We do not sell data, do not share it for advertising, and there is no automated decision-making or profiling on this site.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it or erase it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to processing we base on legitimate interests, and ask for your data in a portable form. Write toinfo@streamhouse.media and we will answer within one month.

In practice, a request about this website usually has a short answer: unless you emailed us, the only record of you is a server log line that will already have been deleted.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Maltese supervisory authority, theInformation and Data Protection Commissioner, or to the authority where you live.

Changes

If what the site does changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. We will not quietly add tracking and leave this text describing a site that no longer exists.
